Shine on, bright and dangerous object

So we’re at the conference, staying in a borrowed house a short drive from the conference site.  Last night when I left the last of the events, the moon was hanging low and yellow–a real Maxfield Parrish moon.  As it rose in the sky, it turned pale gold, and by the time I got back to the place where we’re staying, it was high and bone-white.  Three moons for the price of one!
